A self-hosted search engine for the App Store, built on the official iTunes Search API and the Apple RSS feeds. Your visitors browse and search apps, every outgoing link carries your affiliate token, and there is no database to maintain.
Visitors search by term and switch between App Store countries. Results are paginated and sortable, so a list of hundreds of apps stays workable.
The app charts come from the official Apple RSS feeds, with the Search API as a fallback. Your front page therefore keeps fresh content on its own, in every country you switch on.
Every app gets a page with artwork, developer, genre, price and release date. From there a visitor lands on the developer profile with their other apps, so one visit turns into several.
The script is built for the Apple Performance Partner Program. You enter your token once and it is added to every link that leaves your site, so the traffic you send to Apple is attributed to you.
Dynamic page titles, meta descriptions and readable URLs per app. The pages the script generates can therefore rank on their own instead of being one big search box.
Cupertino Calm, Midnight Cinema and Electric Editorial are built into the script with local CSS and JavaScript. Choose the default in the protected administration area and decide whether visitors may switch designs.
The script talks to the iTunes Search API and the Apple RSS feeds, with fallbacks for the variations Apple applies per country. Nothing is stored on your side, so there is no database to install and no data that goes stale.
The script hands every click to Apple with your affiliate token attached. What Apple pays out depends on their programme conditions, and those differ per type of content: Apple Services such as Apple Music and Apple TV+ do pay a commission, app and in-app purchases no longer do. Check the current rates on the Apple Performance Partner Program site before you plan on an income.
A standard web host with PHP 8.2 through 8.5, cURL, JSON and outbound HTTPS is enough. Upload the files and the guided installer checks the environment, creates the protected administrator account and saves the configuration. Apache, LiteSpeed and Nginx instructions are included.
